Tooling and gauging solutions for aerospace

At AMB 2026, we presented our new tooling and gauging solutions for aerospace applications. The focus is on solutions for MJ, UNJC and UNJF threads, where precision, process reliability and reproducible quality are essential.

For thread production, the portfolio includes SHARK high-performance thread milling cutters for demanding internal threads as well as high-performance thread cutting dies for precise external threads. Depending on the thread profile, thread milling cutters are available for machining depths of up to 2 × D and 3 × D.

Reliable inspection is also an integral part of the overall concept: precision thread gauges enable standards-compliant inspection of internal and external threads. With the eMultiCheck, thread conformity and thread depth can be checked automatically and reproducibly.

The range is complemented by our in-house calibration laboratory offering DAkkS-accredited calibrations in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 as well as factory calibrations of thread gauges.

For particularly demanding machining tasks, we also develop custom-engineered special tools with PCD, CVD-D and PcBN cutting edges, precisely matched to the component, material and machining process.
